What is a gantry crane ?
A gantry crane is a type of industrial crane with single or double girder solutions supported by freestanding legs that move on wheels or rail tracks carrying a bridge, trolley and hoist.
Normally are used at outdoor for handling precast concrete elements, steel beam, pipes and etc. For C-shape leg, it can increase the storage and loading area. The type of crane design is subjected to land area.
There are two types of gantry cranes that you can choose based on their beam forms, which are single cantilever (one beam crane) or double girder gantry cranes (two beam cranes). Comes with a simple and functional structural design, its capability for lifting heavy loads can go up to 100 tons.

Standard gantry crane
These are the most popular types of gantry cranes in the market and can often be found on construction sites for construction, furniture assembly, and even handling heavy loads. They consist of two legs that move on a straight rail on the ground. This design allows room for motorised equipment such as fork lifts, scissor lifts, trucks and carts to be placed underneath the legs.
Semi-gantry crane
This type of crane system consists of one leg that moves on a rail while the other side of the crane has a runway system that is fixed to building columns or on the side of the wall in a building. This allows a crane operator to move the crane in a straight line, allowing for quicker, more precise movement and space to conduct maintenance or repairs.
Portable gantry crane
These are smaller, lighter duty gantry cranes that are designed to be portable and quickly assembled on-site using a set of caster wheels or rubber wheels for ease of movement around a construction site or in a facility. Aluminum gantry crane is also convenient in tight spaces or under an existing overhead bridge crane system. When they are not in use, they can be stored in their designated areas or anywhere in a facility to offer greater convenience and floor space flexibility.
